We continue to make sure all of our families are looked after, as part of our yearly Christmas outreach program. While in the past our Christmas Hamper Program has met the needs of our local families, we want to make sure that all of our members' Christmas needs are met in this difficult year of continuing COVID-19.
The Chief and Headmen are happy to announce that Fran Machimity is the new Band Manager for the Ojibway Nation of Saugeen, effective November 1, 2021.
The Customary Chief and Headmen, along with all staff, have been working hard to keep our Community and Members safe from the Global COVID-19 Pandemic. Ojibway Nation of Saugeen applied for the emergency COVID funding from Indigenous Services Canada (ISC) at the end of March 2020, and received confirmation from Canada last week on the amount and this morning on the terms attached to those funds.
The following plan has been prepared by ONS in response to the pandemic.
